Re-calibrating the Performance Class Card Printer's Ribbon Sensor

This document describes the process for calibrating the ribbon sensor on specific card printers.

Over time, the ribbon sensor may no longer detect the ribbon's color panels properly. This can lead to:
- Color panels not synchronizing properly, causing cards to come out in different colors
- Mis-registration issues in which cards printed show blurry text or images
- False "out of ribbon" errors
Re-calibrating the ribbon sensor to new threshold values can prevent or correct these issues.
Before you follow these instructions, it is important to understand that having the latest firmware version on the printer will help facilitate the calibration process. The latest firmware version for Legacy models is V3.35. The latest version for Performance models is V2.00.
