Yellow Scan Triggers on the PPT88xx Running CE .NET are not Functioning

The 3 yellow scan triggers do not activate the scanner in Scanwedge or ScanSamp applications on the PPT88xx (CE .NET operating system).

Root Cause

The trigger buttons are not assigned as scan trigger.


The trigger button needs to be assigned as a Trigger in the Control Panel.  By default it is set for <none>.

  1. Tap Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Keyboard-->Program Buttons.
  2. Scroll to and highlight Trigger in the Buttons field.
  3. In the Buttons Assignment field scroll to and highlight Trigger.
  4. Tap OK.
