Zebra's Season of Giving 2019 campaign: Giving Around the Globe

How Zebra is Celebrating This “Season of Giving”

We are gifting our time, technology and resources to those who need it most around the world.

Earlier this week, Bernie’s Book Bank Founder and Chief Advancement Officer, Brian Floriani said something very powerful to the Zebra team during our Global Town Hall:

“There is a difference between being significant and being successful. How significant are you?”

At Zebra, we strive every day to be significant as both a company and individuals so Philanthropy and Volunteerism is a year-round charter for us. We believe in doing a world of good, one community at a time. And as you can see from past blog posts here on Your Edge, we are committed to improving the local communities in which we live and work in a significant way.

We are especially reminded of the importance of giving to others during the holiday season. And what we’ve learned is that wrapped presents – though a symbol of the season – aren’t always what people value most. For some, time is the greatest gift of all. Others also benefit from in-kind gifts such as technology that can help to educate children – this has been the case with FIRST Robotics and Bernie’s Book Bank.

Of course, for many, the best gifts are financial donations to charitable organizations focused on improving the welfare of those who have fallen on hard times. Our contributions help them sustain their mission and, in many cases, expand their reach.

Zebra has more than 20 teams of employees around the world who work together to help improve their local communities, whether through donations of cash or technology, volunteer time and storytelling opportunities throughout the year.

In addition, each year between November and January, we come together to drive our philanthropic activities to ensure those less fortunate have access to the resources they need to lead healthy, happy and significant lives. We call it the Season of Giving and, this year, our program is focused on "Giving Around the Globe."

So, when asked how Zebra is celebrating its customers, partners, employees and stakeholders this holiday season – and the 50 years of success for which we’ve been so blessed – we say:

“We’re celebrating by being significant!”

Please join us in doing a world of good, one community at a time by donating your time or resources to a charity that is near and dear to you. Or, you can team up with Zebra to support one of our strategic charitable partners: Bernie’s Book Bank, the American and International Red Cross and FIRST Robotics.

Happy holidays from everyone at Zebra and thank you for celebrating the Season of Giving with us!
