If You’re in Australia, You May Not Need to Send Your Zebra Printers into a Repair Center Anymore

Our team will come to you as part of a new Zebra OneCare™ On-Site service offering.

Though it may be possible to package up an industrial printer and ship it into a service center for maintenance or repair, we know it is not really that practical given the average printer’s size.

That is why we have started rolling out a Zebra OneCare™ On-Site service in selected countries* around the world, with Australia being the latest – and the first in Asia Pacific.

If you are located within 75 kilometres of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Perth, a Zebra-trained and certified technician will come out to your facility either the next business day or within two business days – parts in hand – to inspect and service your Zebra ZT Series desktop printers**. This will significantly reduce overall downtime for your mission-critical printers and minimize operational disruptions.

  • If you opt into the Comprehensive Coverage package when setting up your OneCare Maintenance Plan, the technician will repair, restore and/or replace printer parts and products as needed, regardless of what prompted the service call. If the printheads were accidentally damaged, that’s okay. The technician will get them swapped out and your printers back up and running in no time.

  • If you don’t have the Comprehensive Coverage, printhead repair and replacement unfortunately won’t be covered. But the technician will still be able to repair, restore or replace other printer parts – and entire printers – that are suffering from functional failure or wear and tear from normal use.

Did I mention that parts, labour, travel, and printer cleaning are all included in this On-Site service, regardless of whether you choose the comprehensive or non-comprehensive coverage?

In fact, no matter what on-site service level you have, why you made the service call, or what the technician finds once they inspect your printer(s), they will always do a preventative maintenance check and tune-up before they leave your facility to ensure the entire print solution is performing like it should. The base software package that ships with your Zebra printer will continue to be updated regularly, as well.

And if you have at least 20 Zebra printers at your site, you are eligible to add Commissioning Services to your OneCare On-Site service plan.*** Typically, any repaired printers are returned to their factory default condition. But if you opt into the Commissioning Service, any printers repaired on site will be loaded with your owned or licensed applications, site-specific configurations, and settings by the technician at the time of service. You will just be asked to provide those software applications, all components required to load and configure the printer, and all site-specific information, including IP addresses, software configurations and port key licenses at least 10 business days in advance of the on-site service appointment.

Sounds great, right? It is.

In fact, once you have your OneCare On-Site service plan contract set up, there is not much you or the team will need to do to take advantage of this convenient on-site printer service and get (or keep) your Zebra printers online. You just need to call us to book the on-site service appointment. So, my team and I hope to hear from you soon.
