Our standard resin ribbon formulation produces images that are resistant to most harsh environments when printed on Zebra’s gloss paper and synthetic label and tag materials — including smearing, moisture, abrasion, extreme temperatures, and chemicals.

Print Quality and Durability Thoroughly Tested

Our supplies Research and Development team performs stringent print quality, durability, and printhead life tests after printing on a wide range of material types, at various speeds within Zebra printers. These tests include evaluating:

• Material Compatibility – To ensure proper adhesion of the ribbon to a wide range of materials

• Environmental Performance – The level of resistance to chemicals, outdoor exposure, and abrasion.

• Print Speed Performance – Performance at high print speeds

• Complex Label Format Performance –Performance at 600 dpi and when printing small font sizes, intricate regulatory symbols, and rotated barcodes

• Ribbon Backcoating Build-up – We measure the amount of backcoating build-up on the printhead to ensure minimal printhead impact
