The TC101 is waterproof, dustproof and built for sub-zero temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C)—ideal for workers in the field. Two of the most vulnerable components are protected with scratch- and shatter-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass—the display and scanner exit window. In the event the device is dropped, the raised housing and recessed display help protect the screen.

Smaller than legacy TC1 Series devices, the pocketable TC101 is the lightest and thinnest device in this category. Zebra's award-winning Industrial Design team engineered the TC101 with and without the handstrap to fit comfortably in virtually any sized hand. Tactile features and a finger perch enable a secure grip. The raised scan button and the raised and enlarged push-to-talk (PTT) button have different patterns for easy identification by feel, and are placed at the right height for comfortable scanning. In addition, the power and volume buttons are purposefully flush to prevent accidental activation.
