Zebra’s New Chief Revenue Officer Explains What’s Changing and What’s Not at the Company and in the Channel

Richard Hudson made one thing very clear: trust is everything. So are people. Find out what he will be doing in the coming months to help ensure you feel fully supported, whether you’re a customer, partner, employee or another key stakeholder for Zebra.

Richard Hudson isn’t new to Zebra. He has been playing a critical role in the EMEA region for the past seven years, serving as senior vice president and general manager of the sales organization there, driving business development and customer success. However, he is new to Zebra’s Executive Leadership Team, and he’s bringing fresh energy to his new role as Chief Revenue Officer.

If you’re curious what Richard plans to change, or perhaps what he doesn’t want to change, tune into the 20-minute conversation I had with him recently on the Your Edge Podcast:

He is very honest about…

  • What he thinks is working well.

  • What he thinks needs to change, whether at Zebra, in our channel, or in the larger global industry.

  • Why he was keen to take on this new role as Zebra’s Chief Revenue Officer.

  • Why Zebra has shifted, and will remain committed to, outcome-based selling (and what that means for customers and partners).

  • What he thinks will help you make the changes you need to make to your business, even as budgets are being cut.

  • What one change you could make to your business in the coming months that could potentially have the most immediate and noticeable impact.

  • Why it’s important you realize that Zebra is much more than a hardware company and start asking about our software and service capabilities, or those of our partners, if you are truly looking for a solution that will ease the pain your business is feeling right now.

  • Why it’s important to realize that it’s people who solve problems and that even the greatest technology needs great people to implement it.

  • Why you should be comfortable working with Richard and his team (and Zebra and our partners overall). Why you should trust him to do what’s best for your business.

  • What you should focus on right now if you want to make tangible progress in the next year toward your business goals.

  • Why he might invite you for a round of golf sometime, and who his favorite football team is.

So, I hope you will take a 20-minute break to hear what Richard has to say. I think he shares many insights that you’ll find helpful!
