Service Disruption for LifeGuard Over The Air (OTA)

Our engineering teams are actively investigating a service disruption affecting the LifeGuard Over The Air (OTA) service. We will provide updates here as more information becomes available.

What is Happening?

We have identified two distinct issues impacting the service:

1. Console Token Refresh Failure

  • Description: Console tokens are failing to refresh automatically within both Zebra's DNA Cloud and third-party EMM platforms.
  • Impact: This requires administrators to manually re-authenticate their connection to the Zebra backend more frequently than usual, which can interrupt administrative workflows.

2. LifeGuard Streamed Deployment Failures

  • Description: A recent change in a backend cloud service is causing LifeGuard streamed deployments to fail during the download and installation phase.
  • Impact: Any new OS or security updates deployed via the streaming method will not complete successfully. Devices targeted for these updates will remain on their current software version.

Our Resolution Efforts

Our Cloud Engineering and LifeGuard development teams are treating this incident with the highest priority. They are actively investigating the root causes for both issues to restore full service functionality as quickly as possible.
