Barcode Printer Operations and Maintenance for End Users, Resellers and Partners

Xi4™, 105SLPlus™, ZT400™, ZT200™,& ZE500™

Courses for these products are designed to provide factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants. Please visit the course schedule page for what printers are offered in what classes.

  • Barcode concepts and terminology
  • Thermal printing methods
  • Media and ribbon basics
  • Loading supplies
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Printer setup
  • Printhead and Platen removal and replacement
  • Spindle maintenance (Xi and 105SL only)
  • Printhead adjustments (Xi and 105SL only)
  • Removal, replacement, and adjustments of many of the electrical and mechanical parts (Print Engines)
  • Troubleshooting techniques are described and reviewed through hands-on exercises

2800, G-Series

This course is designed to provide factory-level maintenance knowledge to the participants. This course is only offered as a web event.

The course curriculum includes:

  • Diagnostic tests
  • Using Zebra Setup Utility to maintain the printer
  • Cleaning
  • Introduction to maintenance CD

ZASP Barcode Technician Training

This course is only open to members of the ZASP Barcode Partner community. Please contact cprograms@zebra.com for details or a registration form. This course provides factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants at a higher level than other training. Content includes all of the above and units on Advanced Trouble Shooting, and IT support. Please visit the course schedule page for the schedule.

ZXP3 and ZXP7

This course is designed to give a complete orientation to the printers. It will provide factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants.

ZXP 8 (Re-transfer)

This course is designed to give a complete orientation to the printers. It will provide factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants. The course curriculum includes:

  • Printer Driver Installation and Use
