ZASP Training for Barcode and Card Zebra Partners

Zebra's Authorized Service Provider (ZASP) Program rewards resellers that have demonstrated a commitment to provide quality service and support for all Zebra products. After meeting program requirements and completing the required ZASP Training, a reseller is authorized to provide printer repair, as well as installations, service agreements and technical support.

To be eligible for the Barcode or Card ZASP program, a reseller must be a member of Zebra's PartnersFirst program and meet the minimum requirements of the program. If interested in becoming a Zebra Authorized Service Provider, please contact your Zebra Sales Representative to apply.

Barcode Printer Program

This course is designed to provide factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants for the following printers: Xi4/XiIIIPlus, 105SL Plus/105SL, ZM400/600, ZT400, ZT200, S4M, 2800 and G Series. Other topics include the Zebra Setup Utility, ZebraNet Bridge, ZPL, Mirroring and WML (customized front panel).

The course curriculum includes:

  • Barcode concepts and terminology
  • Thermal printing methods
  • Media and ribbon basics
  • Loading supplies
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Printer setup
  • Printhead and Platen removal and replacement
  • Spindle maintenance (Xi and 105SL only)
  • Printhead adjustments (Xi and 105SL only)
  • For PAX ZASP Removal, replacement, and adjustments of many of the electrical and mechanical parts (170PAX4 & 110PAX4)
  • Troubleshooting techniques are described and reviewed through hands-on exercises


Card Printer Program

This course is designed to provide factory level printer operation and maintenance knowledge to participants for the following printers: ZXP Series 1, ZXP Series 3, ZXP Series 7 and ZXP Series 8.

The course curriculum includes:

  • Card printing concepts and terminology
  • Dye Sublimation printing methods
  • Re-Transfer printing methods
  • Thermal printing methods
  • Media and ribbon basics
  • Loading supplies
  • Diagnostic tests
  • Printer setup
  • Common repaired part removal and replacement
  • Adjustments and calibration procedures
  • Printhead adjustments
  • Troubleshooting techniques are described and reviewed through hands-on exercises
