Zebra Technologies’ Chuck Bolen Receives AIM Global’s Clive Hohberger Technology Award

Feb. 14, 2023 - Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator at the front line of business with solutions and partners that deliver a performance edge, today announced that the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM Global) has recognized Chuck Bolen, Vice President of Advanced Markets & Technologies, with the Clive Hohberger Technology Award.

Created in 2018 to honor the lifetime contribution of prolific inventor, Dr. Clive Hohberger, the award recognizes outstanding scientists, engineers, software developers and systems integrators for significant contributions that have advanced the growth of new technological developments in the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry.

Zebra’s Chuck Bolen is responsible for developing advanced technology and product roadmaps to achieve desired outcomes by working directly with customers to identify and overcome real-life challenges. Earlier in his career, Chuck was instrumental in developing and implementing Zebra’s software development strategy, leading the transition from MS-DOS to Windows CE and building an Enterprise Mobility Development Kit (EMDK) architecture.

More recently, Chuck proposed and established a new customer-centric Enterprise Mobile Computer (EMC) software Agile methodology, driving improved architectures and accelerating Zebra’s software development to help ensure it meets or exceeds customer expectations. He also led the technical direction and transition to Android including the administrator, security and developer tools now referred to as Mobility DNA. Additionally, he championed a common hardware and software platform approach for Zebra’s mobile computing portfolio providing a consistent experience for customers.
