Boggi Milano Achieves 99% Inventory Accuracy with RFID Solutions from Zebra Technologies

Menswear retailer elevates shopper experience with solutions from Zebra and its partners

BOURNE END, England – 26 Feb., 2026 – Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in digitizing and automating workflows to deliver intelligent operations, today announced that premium Italian menswear retailer Boggi Milano has modernized their stores and elevated the customer experience with RFID solutions from Zebra Technologies.

Founded in 1939 as a men’s tailoring house, Boggi Milano has become one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion retailers of premium menswear, with 290 stores in 60 countries. The brand prioritizes innovation, sustainability and quality, including award-winning omnichannel one-to-one shopping experiences that meet and exceed customer expectations. Its Zebra solution is fully functional in 105 of 130 Boggi Milano owned stores worldwide.

"This implementation has transformed Boggi Milano's inventory management and significantly increased the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain, as we have been able to boost inventory accuracy above 99% in some stores,” said Marco Benasedo, Chief Information Officer, Boggi Milano. “This has enabled us to offer an improved service that helps us meet customer needs. These solutions have made centralised and sustainable inventory management possible, preparing Boggi Milano for future innovative developments such as blockchain.”

Since 2019, Boggi Milano has been using AI for restocking, enabling the system to decide what to send to a given store. The business felt the time was right to improve its inventory operations and accuracy, which stood at 90% annually. The previous manual inventory process was inefficient, lacked the flexibility to allow error correction when needed, and could not provide the much higher data accuracy needed for its AI system.

According to Zebra’s 18th Annual Global Shopper Study, 84% of European retail decision-makers cite real-time inventory synchronisation as a top priority for their organizations. In fact, many of them plan to implement advanced technologies such as RFID (43%) for real-time visibility and over half are piloting AI for inventory optimization.

Boggi Milano worked with Zebra to implement an RFID solution to reliably track goods leaving and entering stores in Italy and at locations worldwide, both in flagship stores and secondary outlets. This is enabled by unique technology from SAIT, a Zebra Premier Solution Partner that uses blockchain to serialise and report on each RFID tag associated with a product. Several other Zebra partners collaborated to support the project including Patrizio Buda, a Zebra Registered Alliance Partner.

Zebra ZD621R RFID label printers and RFD40 UHF Standard sleds were paired with TC2 series mobile computers enabling frontline workers to print, attach and track RFID labeled inventory. Devices are managed through a single cloud-based dashboard using Zebra’s VisibilityIQ Foresight software.

“Thanks to Zebra's solution, workers are more precise and face a simpler workload, freeing them from time-consuming and repetitive manual procedures, such as scanning each individual item and inventory checks,” said Luigi Barra, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Boggi Milano. “This transformation improves efficiency and makes operators’ work more agile and less burdensome, creating a more productive and satisfying environment.”

This successful collaboration is now supporting Boggi Milano with its new logistics centre that will deploy Zebra’s new TC53e-RFID mobile computers which will allow operatives to read RFID tags on the move in a single, integrated device.

“Boggi Milano’s commitment to its customers and strategic investments in innovation is an excellent example of how retailers can intelligently automate workflows and connect the frontline to increase efficiency and productivity,” said Mark Thomson, Director, Retail Industry Solutions EMEA, Zebra Technologies. “With Zebra’s AI-powered Modern Store framework, Boggi Milano’s AI system now has highly accurate asset visibility data, work has been made better every day for store associates, and the groundwork has been laid for future investments which will further elevate customer experiences.”
