Specifications
Character Limit/Usage: There isn’t a strict character limit for the Simple Card component. It is capable of accommodating both short (spotlight text) and longer paragraphs. We recommend testing different blocks of text to determine the best fit for your specific use case.
Image requirements: 1:1, 16:9, or 4:3.
Video Requirements: This component does not support videos.
Authoring Instructions
Configuration options include the title, title link, deep link, title color, title size, description, spotlight small text, content type, read length, image and CTA. Title colors include black and blue. Title sizes include H5 (the default) and H3. For more information about CTA styling look here.
It is important to note that cards should always be in a Card Container component. For more information about the card container, go here.
SEO Guidance
The title can be in a heading tag. We recommend using H3 or H4 depending on the structure of the page. We do not recommend setting the title as H1 or a H2.
If there is card container title present, we recommend setting the card container title to be a heading tag level higher than the heading tag used for the individual titles. For example, the card container title can be set as H2. The individual titles within the cards can be set as H3.
For any images used in this component, we recommend adding an alt image text that describes the image.
