Junior Achievement of South Florida Boosts Interactive Learning for Students
Junior Achievement of South Florida is part the JA Worldwide network which teaches students skills in financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship. As part of this mission, Junior Achievement of South Florida offers interactive courses for fifth and eighth graders to better prepare them for real-world scenarios.
Junior Achievement of South Florida
Junior Achievement of South Florida uses innovative simulations to prepare students for real-world scenarios. In JA BizTown, students participate in a mock city where each student is assigned a career role for the day and they perform tasks related to that role while interacting with others in the town. In JA Finance Park, students receive a life scenario and simulate real-life decisions based on that profile, providing insights into different career paths. These simulations were originally paper-based, but have been enhanced with the introduction of Zebra's ET40 tablets.
Benefits / Outcomes
- More interactive teaching resources for daily simulations and reduced course preparation time for faculty
- Eliminated the daily need to print course materials
- Extended battery life and durability of the tablets, ensuring they can withstand daily use and potential drops.
