Inspecting Connectors

Manual inspections of connectors can overlook issues such as bent pins, misalignment, or missing parts, which may lead to increased scrap, rework, and returns. Implementing an automated vision workflow accelerates inspection times, minimizes errors, and ensures consistent quality control across all shifts and production lines. Multi-camera stations can verify features, trigger reject devices before assembly, and archive images for traceability, raising first-pass yield, accelerating changeovers, and proving compliance.

Automated vision workflows, powered by tools like Aurora Design Assistant, enhance connector inspections by detecting issues such as bent pins, misalignment, or missing parts, improving quality control through rapid detection, error reduction, traceability, and compliance across production lines.

Automate connector quality checks from capture to reject with multi-camera inspection, consistent rules, and traceable results

Aurora Design Assistant uses advanced geometric tools, pattern matching, edge and shape finders, measurement and gauging, color verification, OCR/OCV, barcode reading, and calibration tools for precise connector checks, alignment, traceability, and damage detection.

Optimize connector inspection workflows with automated tools

Aurora Design Assistant employs advanced geometric tools and precise tolerances for common connector checks, such as using Geometric Pattern Matching for part alignment, and Edge, Line, and Circle Finders for assessing pin angles and alignment. Additional features include Measurement and Gauging for detecting misalignments or damage, color verification for seals and gaskets, OCR/OCV and barcode reading for traceability, and calibration tools for precision accuracy.
