ZQ6xx Alert: Printhead Over Temperature

Description: The printhead is over temperature and printing is paused to allow the printhead to cool.

Possible Cause 1: The printer is printing a large batch job, typically with large amounts of highly dense print.

Resolution: This behavior is intended to prevent damage to the printhead. Printing operation will resume after the printhead has cooled. Consider putting delays between labels and/or reducing print density (i.e the amount of media turned black or a color other than white if using IQ color media).

Possible Cause 2: The ambient temperature at the printer’s location exceeds the specified operating range. Temperatures inside the printer can be higher if it is in direct sunlight.

Resolution: The printer’s maximum operating temperature is 50°C or 122°F. Use printer below this limit and/or do not place in direct sunlight.
