FX9600 Series Firmware

Important

To update the reader from older Firmware v3.10.30 (or lower) to v3.21.23 (or above) a two-steps upgrade is required. The reader needs to be updated to v3.21.21 first and then to v3.21.23 (or above).

Due to Key changes in some licensed components, and the introduction of a new Firmware update process, downgrading to previous releases (v3.10.xx or lower) IS NOT SUPPORTED once the reader is updated to Firmware v3.21.xx.

Please contact Zebra Support for assistance with downgrades to versions 3.10.30, 3.9.16, and 3.8.22.

Installation Requirements

A Java enabled browser on a PC is required to initiate the upgrade process. A USB drive can also be used directly.

It is recommended to use FX7500 and FX9600 readers with release v3.9.16 or above. Older Firmware versions are not being actively maintained. It is suggested to upgrade the reader to the latest Firmware.
