Community Relations

At Zebra Technologies, we believe in doing a world of good, one community at a time. Our Community Relations programme's mission statement explains it best. "Improving our communities by providing a global programme with local implementation, where we live out our values by giving of our time and resources."

COMMUNITY EFFORTS

Zebra has three main focus areas for its Community Relations programme:

  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health and Human Services


We introduced our global programme in 2011, with an emphasis on volunteer efforts by employees around the world. A committee of employees from a variety of business units and locations developed our Community Relations programme and guidelines. Zebra has developed two very special employee volunteer programmes:

  • Volunteer Paid Time Off. Eligible employees can get approval for up to eight hours of paid time off a quarter to volunteer at an eligible charitable organisation. Employees may take a maximum or 32 hours off in a year.
  • Donations for Doers. When a Zebra employee volunteers at an eligible charitable organisation, Zebra will donate up to $200 to that organisation for every eight hours an employee volunteers (to a maximum of $800 per employee per year).
