Zebra Technologies’ Total Wearable Solutions for Warehousing Efficiency Showcased at Saint-Etienne International Design Biennale in France

The 10th Biennale International Design Saint-Etienne will focus this year on changes to the world of work and imagining its future

PARIS – 20 February 2017 –
Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in providing solutions and services that give enterprises real-time visibility into their operations, announced that Biennale International Design Saint-Etienne has selected its WT6000 portable computer and its RS6000 wearable ring scanner to be showcased from 9 March to 9 April 2017. Both of these  products are part of Zebra’s Total Wearable Solutions portfolio, designed to drive greater warehouse efficiency and worker effectiveness.

The devices are part of new generation of portable terminals and ring scanners specifically designed by Zebra to enable the warehouse of the future. The WT6000 portable computer and the Zebra RS6000 wearable ring scanner meet existing needs for reliability and accuracy, while employing the latest wearable design principles to offer workers far greater freedom of movement.

Enhancing worker connectivity, mobility and comfort allows warehouse operators to unlock new levels of efficiency. The WT6000 handle fastening, made of non-absorbent materials, ensures high "breathing" power and hygiene, while the easy-to-use WT6000 handheld terminal is equipped with a touch screen and contactless technology (NFC) for quick and easy connection to the Zebra RS6000 ring scanner.

The International Design Biennale Saint Etienne will focus on the emergence of new economic models linked to major technology innovations in order to determine the future of the intelligent enterprise. This focus on the future is shared by Zebra, as it works to help businesses become as smart and connected as the world around them.

SUPPORTING QUOTE

Thierry Vasseur, Vice-President & Chief Executive Officer France – Benelux, Zebra Technologies
“Zebra has always designed its products by listening to those who use them. Bearing in mind the difficulty of working in the warehouse, especially the repetition of certain actions during the scanning process, our designers had the idea of reducing the scanner size to a simple, lightweight ring. This can be connected to the portable computer that processes the data allowing for better operational visibility.”
