Winter is Coming. It’s Time to Break Out Your Thermal (Printing Supplies).
In the latest episode of That Supplies Show, we explain the qualities to look for when choosing thermal ribbons so you can keep operations running optimally through peak season – and all year long.
It may be cold outside, but business is hotter than ever inside factories, warehouses, and stores as the peak shopping season gets into full swing. Unfortunately, this is also cold and flu season, which means healthcare facilities are also seeing increased demand.
Consequently, thermal printers are running full steam right now, generating labels that help ensure packages make it to the right place at the right time and records are updated accurately and efficiently with very little effort.
If you don’t have the right thermal ribbons loaded into the printers, though, it’s going to be difficult, if not impossible, to read whatever is coming off the printer.
See, there are hundreds of ribbon formulations in the market, and they aren’t compatible with every label facesheet – just like you aren’t compatible with every person you meet. And just like you and I might be sensitive to certain chemicals or outdoor elements, so are ribbons.
(Didn’t think you were going to get compared to a printer ribbon today, did you?)
Well, much like you have the power to change your personal circumstances and relationships when incompatibility becomes apparent, you also have the power to change your thermal ribbons. That’s right, as a long-time (label) relationship guru, I can tell you there is a thermal ribbon out there that’s fully compatible with your printing media. And you might not have to look as hard as you think to find it.
In the latest episode of That Supplies Show, Kelly Breneisen and I reveal how to make the right match so you can save face(sheets) and make everyone around you happy, including your boss, colleagues, customers/patients and those who are crunching down on waste.
Watch it now:
And, if this is your first time tuning in, you should definitely take a two-hour coffee break to check out these past episodes. (Don’t worry. These episodes aren’t that long. I’m giving you cover to take a legit break, too. Everyone needs time to rest and digest, even during working – we mean waking – hours.)
