Zebra Donates Technology to China Hospitals to Assist in Epidemic Prevention Efforts

Front-line workers to gain increased efficiency in Huoshenshan and Shenzhen University General Hospitals

SHANGHAI, China – Feb. 24, 2020 – Zebra Technologies Corporation, (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator at the edge of the enterprise with solutions and partners that enable businesses to gain a performance edge, has donated technology to support front-line workers in the Huoshenshan and Shenzhen University General Hospitals in support of their epidemic prevention efforts against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The hospitals will be using Zebra barcode printers and supplies to produce patient ID wristbands, patient records and specimen labels along with Zebra scanners for the collection of patient data. These are just some examples of Zebra’s comprehensive portfolio of purpose-built healthcare solutions that are designed to help front-line medical workers provide a higher level of patient care. Additionally, Zebra employees from the Greater China region have contributed cash donations to the Wuhan Charity Federation.

Zebra’s donations reflect the company’s corporate values and its commitment to corporate social responsibility. With a focus on the priority areas such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Healthcare and Education, Zebra is helping improve the local communities where we live and work by contributing our time and resources.

Zebra has been monitoring and assessing the situation closely. The company has communicated travel restrictions and offered flexible working arrangements for employees in the affected countries. It has also provided local support options and guidance to staying safe.
